日本では、12月31日のことを、"大晦日"と言います。大晦日の夜に蕎麦を食べる習慣が日本にあります。"年越し蕎麦"とよばれ、"蕎麦のように細く長く生きられるように"という意味が込められています。なので今日は、多くの日本人が年越し蕎麦を食べるはずです。
